Answer:

Required numbers are 15 and 69.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the required two numbers are x and y.

Given that the sum of both the numbers  is 84.

So, x + y =84         ...( i )

According to the question : -

First number is 9 more than 4 times of the second number.

So, x = 9 + ( 4 times of y )

⇒ x = 9 + ( 4 x y )

⇒ x = 9 + 4y

Now, numbers are 9 + 4y and y.

Substitute the value of 9 + 4y in ( i )

⇒ 9 + 4y + y = 84

⇒ 9 + 5y = 84

⇒ 5y = 84 - 9

⇒ 5y = 75

⇒ y = 75 / 5

⇒ y = 15

Therefore,

Numbers are y = 15 and 9 + 4y ⇒ 9 + 4( 15 ) ⇒ 9 + 60 ⇒ 69.

here is your answer OK ☺☺☺☺☺☺

Let the first number = x

then second number = 4x

according to question,

x + 4x = 80⇒ 5x = 80 ⇒ x = 16

so, first number = 16

and second number = 16 × 4 = 64
