Answer :

The numbers are 50 & 35.

Explanation :

Question says that,

Sum of two numbers is 85.

Where, one of the number is 15 less than the other.

If we assume one number as x

Then, another number would be (x - 15)

According to the question :

\implies  x + (x - 15) = 85

\implies x + x - 15 = 85

\implies  2x - 15 = 85

\implies  2x = 85 + 15

\implies  2x = 100

\implies  x =  \dfrac{100}{2}

\implies  x = 50

\therefore \sf \: One \: number \: is \: 50

Hence, the other would be :

  • (x - 15) = 50 - 15 = 35

Required numbers are : 50 & 35.
