Smaller integer = 13, Greater integer = 75

Explanation:

Let x & y be the greater & smaller integers respectively:

x + y = 88 = > eq-1

x/y=5+10/y = >eq-2

Solve for y in terms of x in eq-1:

y = 88 − x

Substitute for y in eq-2:

x/88-x =5+10/88-x

x = 5 ( 88 − x ) + 10

x + 5x = 440 + 10

6x = 450

x=450/6

x=75

y = 88-75 = 13

Answer:

The two numbers are 13 and 75

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data:

The sum of the two number = 88

Let x and y are be the two number

take x as small number and y as greatest number

from given data  x + y = 88 _(1)

when greatest number y is divided by x quotient is 5 and reminder is 10

therefore   y = 5x +10

                  y - 5x = 10 _(2)

now subtract (2) from (1)

⇒     x + y - (y - 5x) = 88 - 10

⇒     x + y - y + 5x  = 78

                         6x =  78

                           x = 13

substitute x = 13 in (1)

          x + y = 88

         13 + y = 88

                 y = 75
