Given :

  • The sum of two numbers is 95. If one exceed the other by 15

To Find :

  • The Numbers

Solution :

Here in the Question we are given sum of two numbers is 95. If one exceed the other by 15. so, we will let the first Number be x and other be x + 15 and then we will solve the further Question.

  • Let One Number = x

  • Other Number = x + 15

According to Question :

→ x + x + 15 = 95

→ 2x + 15 = 95

→ 2x = 95 - 15

→ 2x = 80

→ x = 80/2

→ x = 40

Other Number

→ x + 15

→ 14 + 15 = 55

Verification :

→ x + x + 15 = 95

→ 40 + 40 + 15 = 95

→ 80 + 15 = 95

→ 95 = 95

Hence, Verified

The Required numbers are 40 and 55.

Given:

The sum of the two numbers is 95. If one exceeds the other by 15.

To Find:

find the numbers.

Solution:

It is given that the sum of two numbers is 95. and one number exceeds the other by 15.

Let the number be N

The other number is N+15

According to the Question:

=> N + (N+15) = 95

=> 2N+15 = 95

=> 2N = 95 - 15

=> 2N = 80

=> N = 80/2

=> N = 40

So, Forst number: N is 40

Second Number: N+15 = 40 + 15 = 55

Verification:

=> 40 + 55 = 95

=> 95 = 95

LHS = RHS.

Hence, the two numbers are 40 and 55
