x-y = 35 ...........(ii)
Now, adding (i) and (ii)
x+y+x-y = 95+35
or, 2x = 130
or, x = 130/2 = 65
Now, From (i), y = 95-x = 95-65 = 30
Thus, smaller number is 30.
