x + y = 20....(1)

their Difference is 25

x - y = 25....(2)

now (1) - (2)

x + y + x - y = 20 + 25

2x = 45

x=45/2 = 22.5..(3)

substitute (3) in (1)

x + y = 20

22.5 + y = 20

Y = 20 - 22.5

Y = -2.5
