☆HERE IS YOUR ANSWER☆
____________________

a+b=820
a-b=80

Let the smaller number be a
then b will be the larger one and it's value will be 80+x as their difference is 80

then it can be written

a+b

x+80+x=820
2x+80=820
2x=820 - 80
2x=740
x=740 / 2
x=370

so smaller number a is 370
and larger number b= 370+80=450
