✿ Solution ✿

Let's assume one number as x

So, the another number as (52 - x)

According to Question,

(52 - x) / x = 3 / 10

⇒ 10(52 - x) = 3(x)

⇒ 520 - 10x = 3x

⇒ 520 = 3x + 10x

⇒ 520 = 13x

⇒ 520 / 13 = x

⇒ 40 = x

✾ Required Numbers ✾

✧ x = 40

✧ 52 - x = 52 - 40 = 12

Hence, the required numbers are 40 and 12

we have given that:-

sum of two positive number is 52.

and

if we divide the smaller number by the greater number we get 3 upon 10 .

we have to find the numbers ?

solution:-

let smaller number is = x

and

greater number is = y

According to question :

x + y = 52. .......(1.)

and

x/y = 3/10

=> 10 x = 3y

=> 10x - 3y = 0 .........(2.)

now ,

multiply by 3 in equation (1.)

we get ,

3x + 3y = 156 .....(3.)

now, adding equation (2.) and (3.)

we get ,

10 x + 3 x = 156

=> 13 x = 156

=> x = 156/13 = 12

now, putting the value of x in equation (1.) we get ;

=> 12 + y = 52

=> y = 52 - 12 = 40

Hence ,

Required numbers are 12 and 40
