Step-by-step explanation:

Let the to numbers be x and y.

Since the product of these two numbers is -1/4 i.e. x×y=(-1/4).

And one of the number is 3/10 say,x=3/10.

Then substituting value of x we get,(3/10)×y=(-1/4).

Multiply by 10 on both side we get,3×y=(-1/4)×10.

Dividing by 3 on both side we get,y=(-1/12)×10.

Hence second number y=(-10/12).

–1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

 \frac{1}{10}  -  \frac{3}{5}

 \frac{1 - 6}{10}  =  \frac{ - 5}{10}

 \frac{ - 5}{10}  \:  \:  \:  \: (reduce \: by \: 2)

 -  \frac{1}{2}
