 Let \: x \: and \: y \: are \: two \: rational

 numbers .

 Given \: x = \frac{3}{5}

/* According to the problem given */

 x + y = \frac{1}{10}

 \implies \frac{3}{5} + y = \frac{1}{10}

 \implies y = \frac{1}{10} - \frac{3}{5}

 = \frac{ 1 - 6}{10}

 = \frac{-5}{10}

 = \frac{-1}{2}

Therefore.,

 \red{ Required \: number }\green { = \frac{-1}{2}}

Given :

  • Sum of two rational number is \sf\dfrac{1}{10}
  • If one number is \sf\dfrac{3}{5}

To find :

  • Other number

According to the question,

Let the other number be x

\rightarrow\sf{x +  \frac{3}{5} =  \frac{1}{10}  }

\rightarrow \sf{x =  \frac{1}{10}  -  \frac{3}{5} }

\rightarrow\sf{x =  \frac{1 - 6}{10} }

\rightarrow\sf{x = \cancel \frac{ - 5}{10} }

\rightarrow\sf \red{x = \frac{ -1}{2}}}

So,the answer is -1/2
