Answer

Let the required number bex. Then,

=(-15/7)+x=(-3) By sending (-15/7) from left hand side to the right hand side it change to - (15/7) x=(-3) - (-15/7)

LCM of 1 and 7 is 7

Express each of the given rational numbers with the above LCM as the common denominator.

Now,

(-3x7) -21

(1 x 7) 7 = (-15 x 1) -15 (7 × 1) 7

Then,

= (-21/7) - (15/7)

= -(21 +15)/7

= -6/7 Hence the required number is (-6/7)
