\huge\mathfrak\blue{Answer:}

Rational Number:

  • Rational Number are the numbers that can be written in the form of a/b where a and B are integers and b is not equal to zero
  • For ex : 2/3 , 3/5 , 5/7 etc

Given:

  • We have have given that sum of two rational numbers is 4/5
  • One of the number is 2/15

To Find:

  • We have to find the of other number

Solution:

First number = 2/15

Let the second number be = x

\underline{\large\mathfrak\red{According \: to \: the \: Question:}}

\implies \boxed{\sf{Sum \: of \: Numbers = \dfrac{4}{5} }}

\implies \sf{x + \dfrac{2}{15} = \dfrac{4}{5} }

Shifting all constant to Right Hand side

\implies \sf{x = \dfrac{4}{5} - \dfrac{2}{15}}

Taking LCM on RHS

\implies \sf{x = \dfrac{4 \times 3 - 2}{15} }

\implies \sf{x = \dfrac{12 - 2}{15} }

\implies \sf{x = \dfrac{10}{15} }

\implies \boxed{\sf{x = \dfrac{2}{3} } }

Hence Second number is 2/3
