According to the question,

The sum of two rational number is -5.

x + y = -5

where, y = -2/3

➝ x + y = - 5

➝ x - 2/3 = -5

➝ x = - 5 + 2/3

➝ x = -5 + 2/3

➝ x = -15/3 + 2/3

x = -13/3

\sf{\huge{\underline{\green{Verification :-}}}}

x - 2/3 = -5

➝ -13/3 - 2/3 = -5

➝ - 13-2/3 = -5

➝ -15/3 = -5

-5 = -5

Hence ,Verified.
