Given that :

Sum of two rational number is -5 and one of them is 2/3

To find :

Other rational number

Solution :

Let, the other rational number be x

According to question :

 \frac{2}{3}  + x =  - 5 \\  \\  =  > x =  - 5 -  \frac{2}{3}  \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{ - 15 - 2}{3}  \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{ - 17}{3}

So, the other rational number will be -17/3 ✔
