sum of two rational numbers = -5

one of them = -55/25

let another number = x

x + ( -55/25) = -5

x -55/25 = -5

( 25x - 55 )/25 = -5

25x - 55 = -5 × 25

25x - 55 = -125

25x = -125 + 55

25x = -70

x = -70/25

x = - 14/5 (or) x = - 2.8
