Given : The sum of two rational numbers is -6/11 and  one of them is - 64/77

To find : Other rational number

Solution:

One rational number is  - 64/77

let say another ration number is  A

Sum of two rational number  = -6/11

=>   - 64/77  + A   =  - 6/11

Adding both sides 64/77

=>- 64/77  + A  + 64/77  =  - 6/11  + 64/77

=> A  =  - 42/77  + 64/77

=> A =  (-42 + 64)/77

=> A = 22/77

=> A = 2/7

other rational number is  2/7
