the sum of two rational number is -6 if one of them is -3/10 find the other

let the two rational numbers be x and y
x+y= -6
if x=-3/10

-3/10+y= -6
y= -6+3/10
= -60+3/10
= -57/10

therefore -57/10 is the other number.

Suppose the two rational no. be x and y-
A/Q
x+y=-6
-3/10+y=-6
y=-6+3/10
y=-57/10
y=-5.7.
