GIVEN

Sum of 2 rational numbers = -8

One of the rational numbers = -15/7

$\frac{-15}{7} +x = -8$

$x = -8 - \frac{-15}{7}$

$x = - 8 + \frac{15}{7}$

$x = \frac{-56+15}{7}$

$x = \frac{-41}{7}$

∴ The other rational number is -41/7.
