The sum of two rational number is -8, if one of the number is -10/7, find the other number

let other number be x

x+-10/7 = -8
x = -8+10/7
x = -56+10/7
x = -46/7

Let the second number be x.

From the question;

 = > \: x +( \frac{ - 10}{7} ) = - 8

 = > \: x = - 8 + \frac{10}{7}

 = > \: x = \frac{ - 46}{7}
