Step-by-step explanation:

Given that one rational number is 1/5

Let another rational number be x.

According to the question,

x + 1/5 = 10(x/5)........(1)

=> (5x+1)/5 = 2x

=> 5x + 1 = 2x ( 5 )

=> 5x + 1 = 10x

=> 5x - 10x = -1

=> -5x = -1

=> x = 1/5

Therefore, other rational number is 1/5.

Verification :

Put the value of x in (1)

=> 1/5 + 1/5 = 2 × 1/5

=> 2/5 = 2/5

Hence verified!

The sum of two rational number is equal to ten times their products. If one of them is 1/5 ,then find the other.

➠ Let, given that one rational number is 1/5.

➠ And another rational number be r.

[NOTE :- Here we have been given two rational numbers. Which we divided into two parts as it divided into two parts in the ratio of 1/5.So we have been given only one part. and we have to find second rational number ( second part).]

➠ r + 1/5 = 10(r/5) ------(1)

➠ (5r +1)/5 = 2r

➠ 5r +1 = 10r

➠ -5r = -1

\huge\pink{\boxed{\boxed{ r = 1/5}}}

.°. second rational number is 1/5.

☀ VERIFICATION (1) ☀

1st rational number + 2nd rational number = sum of rational numbers

1/5 + 1/5 = 1/10

☀ VERIFICATION (2) ☀

put r value in equation (1).

➠ r + 1/5 = 10(r/5)

➠ 1/5 + 1/5 = 2 × 1/5

\large{\underline{\underline{\mathbf\purple{2/5 =2/5}}}}
