If the numbers are rational they are supposed to be in the form of p/q. So let one of the number to be x.

According to question...

x + (-5/6) = 8

x= 8 + 5/6

x=48/6 + 5/6

x=53/6

urvashirathee29: A+B =8
MirASADAli: how 48 came
urvashirathee29: Let A and B be two rational no. So that A+B =8 , let B be 5/6 therefore, A + 5/6 = 8 ==> A = 8-5/6 = 48-5/6 A = 43/6
CoolestCat015: through lcm
CoolestCat015: multiply numerator and denominator by 6
MirASADAli: thank u alot
