Let the other number be 'x'
x + (-9/20) = - 3/5
x - 9/20 = - 3/5 ( Transpose 9/20 to R. H. S)
x = - 3/5 + 9/20. ( Now we have to make the denominators same)
L.C.M of 5 & 20 is 20
-3/5 * 4/4 =-12/20

x = - 12/20 + 9/20
x = (-12 + 9)/20 = - 3/20
So the other number is - 3/20
