Given

Sum of two Rational numbers is 10.

One of the numbers is 5/2.

To Find

we have to find the other number

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Since,we know the one number so,we assume some Variable for second number to fulfill the condition.

Let the second number be 'x'

According to the question:

Sum of two numbers is 10

➙1st number + 2nd number =10

➙5/2+ x= 10

➙5+2x/2=10

➙5+2x=20

➙2x= 20-5=15

➙x= 15/2

Hence,the other number is 15/2

Check:

sum of two numbers is 10

➙5/2+15/2

➙20/2=10

Concept:

Rational number are those number which are in the form of p/q where q ≠0.

Since , the above two given number eg.,=>5/2 & 15/2 are both Rational number.
