sum of two rational numbers = 11/24

TO FIND :second number

SOLUTION : Let the second number be X

Then as per question ,

3/8 + X = 11/24
X = 11/24 - 3/8
X =(11-9)/24
X 2/24
X = 1/12

Therefore , Second number = X =1/12

lets form an euqtaion

3/8 + x = 11/24

x = 11/24 - 3/8

lcm = 24

=> x = 11/24 - 9/24

=> x  = 2/24

=>x = 1/12
