Let other number be x,

-9/20 + x = -3.5

x = -3.5 + 0.45

x = - 3.05

Other number is - 395/100

I hope this will help you

Heya !!!

Let other Rational Number be X .

One Rational Number = -9/20

According to question,

Sum of two rational Numbers = -3.5

One Number + Other Number = -3.5

-9/20 + X = -3.5

-9 + 20X /20 = -3.5

-9 + 20X = -3.5 × 20

-9 + 20X = -70

20X = -70+9

20X = -61

X = -61/20

Hence,

Other Rational Number = X = -61/20

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU...... :-)
