Step-by-step explanation:

let the other no be x

according to question

-3 upon 5 +x=3 upon 4

-3/5 + x = 3/4

=> x = 3/4 -(-3/5)

=> x = 3/4 +3/5.

(multiplying - by -)

LCM of 4 ,5= 20

x= (3/4×5/5) + (3/5×4/4)

x= 15/20 + 12/20

x= 27/20

Putting value of x in equation

= -3/5 + 27/20

LCM of 5 ,20= 20

= (-3/5×4/4) + 27/20

= -12/20 + 27/20

= 15/20

= 15/20 ÷ 5/5

= 3/4
