Given : The sum of two rational numbers is -4 and  one of them is - 11 by 6

To find : Other rational number

Solution:

One rational number is  -11/6

let say another ration number is  A

Sum of two rational number  = - 4

=>   -11/6  + A   =  - 4

Adding both sides 11/6

=> -11/6 + A + 11/6  = - 4  + 11/6

=> A  =  -24/6  + 11/6

=> A =  (-24 + 11)/6

=> A = -13/6

other rational number is  -13/6
