The sum of two rational numbers is 7/5. If one of them is -5/7 find the other.​

let us assume that the required number is x

now as per the question it is

$=\frac{-5}{7} +x=\frac{7}{5\\}$

$x=\frac{7}{5} +\frac{5}{7}$

first find out the LCM of (5,7) for simple fraction

it is =35

simplifying equation of fraction

($\frac{5\times7}{5\times7} =\frac{49}{35}$

solving second fraction

$\frac{5\times5}{7\times5} =\frac{25}{35}$

hence

$x=\frac{49+25}{35} \\x=\frac{74}{35}$

As (x) is the value of  another number =$\frac{74}{35}$
