The sum of two rational numbers is-7 if one of them is -5/2 find the other

let the another number is x

-5/2+X=-7

X=5/2-7

X=5-14/2

X=-9/2

Given,

Sum of two rational nos. = -7

One no. is -5/2


Now,


Suppose the other no. be x

-5/2 + x = -7

x = -7 + 5/2

x = -14+5/2

x = -9/2


Therefore, the other no. is -9/2.
