Answer:

Sum of two rational Number is

 - 7

One of them is

 \frac{3}{7}

We gave to find the other

Let the required no. be x

Now

 \frac{ 3}{7}  + x =  \frac{ - 7}{1}

Required No.=

x =  \frac{ - 7}{1}  -  \frac{3}{7}

Find LCM of the denominators

Which is 21

  \frac{ - 7}{1}   \times  \frac{21}{21}  =   \frac{ - 147}{21}

 \frac{3}{7}  \times  \frac{3}{3}  =   \frac{9}{21}

Now

 \frac{ - 147}{21}  -  \frac{9}{21}  =  \frac{ - 138}{21}

the other Number Is

 \frac{ - 138}{21}

Given: The sum of two rational numbers is-7 and one of the numbers is\frac{3}{7}.

We have to find the other number.

We are solving in the following way:

Let the other number be 'x'.

From the given statement we can write:

x+\frac{3}{7} =-7\\

Solving the above equation further we get,

\Rightarrow x+\frac{3}{7} =-7\\\\\Rightarrow x=-7-\frac{3}{7} \\\\\Rightarrow x= -\frac{7\times-7-3}{7} \\\\\Rightarrow x=\frac{-49-3}{7} \\\\\Rightarrow x=\frac{-52}{7}

Hence, the other number will be-\frac{52}{7}.
