Let the numbers be:-

3x and 5x

Sum of the numbers:-

32

Solution:-

3x + 5x = 32

8x = 32

x = 32/8

x = 4

Now we find the numbers:-

3x

= 3(4)

= 12

5x

= 5(4)

= 20

The numbers are:-

12 and 20
