let 2 small sides be A and B Then large side be C.

Area of triangle = 1/2 A*B

A + B = 17

A + B + C = 30

C = 13

C*C = A*A + B*B

C*C = (A + B)*(A + B) - 2 * A * B

13 x 13 = 17 x 17 - 2 A x B

A*B = 60

There fore area of the triangle is 0.5 x A x B = 30 cm^2.

Answer:

30

Step-by-step explanation:

let 2 small sides be A and B Then large side be C.

Area of triangle = 1/2 A*B

A + B = 17

A + B + C = 30

C = 13

C*C = A*A + B*B

C*C = (A + B)*(A + B) - 2 * A * B

13 x 13 = 17 x 17 - 2 A x B

A*B = 60

There fore area of the triangle is 0.5 x A x B = 30 cm^2.
