Given: The quadratic equation is  kx²-3x+1

Sum of its zeros is 1

To Find : the value of k

Solution:

The standard form in when a quadratic equation can be expressed is

ax² + bx + c = 0

So on comparing kx²-3x+1  with ax² + bx + c

We get, a = k, b =  -3 and c = 1

The sum of roots/ zeros of a quadritic polynomial is equal to -b/a

The sum of the roots of the above equation is 1                   ....Given

-b/a = 1

\frac{-(-3)}{k} = 1

On cross multiplying

k = 3

Therefore, the value of k is 3.
