let the 2 no.be x and x+2
according to question
x+x+2=30
2x+2=30
2x=30-2
2x=28
x=28/2
x=14
therefore the no.are:-
1) x=14
2)x+2 =14+2=16

Let one of the number be x
The other will be x+2 (since it exceeds the other by 2)*
A.T.Q,
x+x+2 = 30
=> 2x = 28 (subtracting 2 from both the sides.)

=>x = 28/2
=> x = 14
The other number is (x+2)= 14 + 2 = 16.
Hence,the two numbers are 14 and 16.

NOTE* - We can also take other number as x-2.
Then also we'll get the Sam answer.
