This is not complete question or properly written.. is 25/4 % correctly written?
the question ends with I.. is it seeking rate of interest? then we can use the formulae r = n [(A/P)1/nt - 1] but we need to know what is the amount after 2 years assuming 289 is the prinicpal.

If the question is correct then
if we are to calculate Amount after 2 years to the principal so

A = P(1 + r/n)nt= 289 ( 1+ 25x 1/4) 1 X2= 451.56
