According to the 'Law of Conservation of Energy's the sum of all types of energy is constant.

That means, Each type of energy when utilised or used then it does not gets destroyed and gets converted into another form of energy.

We can take example from our daily life --

Have you ever though that when sunlight falls on ground, the ground after some time becomes hot. Here, sunlight is a form of energy which gets converted into heat energy and we feel hot.
Therefore, it is clear that the amount of energy in the universe is constant and can neither be destroyed nor be made, but can be changed from one form to another.

Energy form 1 + Energy form 2 = Constant.
