Sum of the rational numbers = 2/3

One of the number= -1/6

To find the other number we will do it like this....

LCM of 3 and 6 is 18.

Therefore,

12/18 and -3/18

12/18 - -3/18

15/18.

Let the unknown number be x

2/3 = -1/6 + x

x = 2/3 - (-1/6)

x = 2/3 + 1/6

                      LCM OF 3 AND 6 IS 6

x = 4/6+1/6

x = 5/6
