summary of the poem miser and the poet

Once upon a time there lived a miser. He had earned much wealth and each day he would store it under the tree in his own garden. Every week he would gloat over his gains. Once, this was noticed by a robber. The next day, the robber planned to steal away the wealth of the miser and it was stolen. When the miser came to gloat his earnings, he saw nothing but a deep hole on the ground.

From this, we get the message that no wealth should be hidden and it must be used for our needs or must be given away to help someone. Hidden wealth will never be useful
