The sun is an important source of ultraviolet (UV) waves, which is the main cause of sunburn. Sunscreen lotions are transparent to visible light but absorb most UV light. The higher a sunscreen’s solar protection factor (SPF), the greater the percentage of UV light absorbed. Why are UV rays harmful to the skin compared to visible light?

Explanation:

The visible light rays are filtered firstly when it enters into the earth atmosphere by ozone layer, these rays are basically U.V light rays but are filtered thats why it doesnt effects, on the other hand the U.V pure light arent filtered which causes skin cancer directly.

thank you!

May you get it.
