I hope this answer may help you

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one number= x

Consecutive number= x+1

square of the one number=x^2

square of the consecutive number=(x+1)^2

sum of square of two consecutive natural numbers =421..................(given)

x^2+(x+1)^2=421

x^2+x^2+1+2x=421

2x^2+2x=421-1

2x^2+2x=420

2(x^2+x)=420

x^2+x=210

x^2+x-210=0

x^2+14x-15x-210=0

x(x+14)-15(x+14)=0

x+14=0,x-15=0

x=-14,x=15

One number=-14(or)15

Consecutive number=16 (or)-13
