Here , as we know that the sun rises in the east so , the first rise of sun starts from the east side of India . Because of the vast distance between east and west of India , sun rises 2 hours late in Gujarat ( as compared to the Arunachal Pradesh ) .

Hence , the time difference between east ( Arunachal Pradesh ) and west ( Gujarat ) is 2 hours .

Because of these time difference ……

India have standard time for whole country because of the standard meridian of India ( 82°30′E ) passing through Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh is taken as standard time for whole country .

Hence, in East ( Arunachal ) and in west (Gujarat ) the watches show the same time .

This is because of different longitude.

Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat are located at a different longitudes. Each Longitudes has different kind of Time. The standard meridian of India pass away through Mirzapur.

Arunachal Pradesh is not a part of Indian meridian which passes through Mirzapur. While, Gujarat is located at a different Standard meridian.

=> Gujarat lies between 68° E and 74° E longitude.

=> Arunachal Pradesh is located between 91.20° E and 97.30° E longitude

Also, Arunachal Pradesh is located at Eastern part of India. It means that, there will be very Huge distance in time.

Reason for time difference:

1) India is located at 30° longitude.

2) There are 30° longitudes between Arunachal pradesh and Gujarat.

3) 30°* 4mins=120 mins

4) 120 Mins is equal to 2 Hours.

So, There is a 2 hours time different between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh.
