But to sort this out we Indians have taken the standard meridien of India(82°30'E) as the Indian standard time. As it passes almost through the middle of India, it cuts the difference of two hours and whole India follows this same time. The Standard Meridian passes through Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
