the sun takes 8.20min to reach its light to earth. That means we can see the 8.20min past sun. that mean we are seeing a past event. how is this possible?

It is real that sun glow before 8.2 second when we see but it is not shocking as usual the stars are much more far then sun many of stars's light take years to come on earth so we see many the incident of earlier of years in case of stars .
