The sunlight reaches the earth in 8.5min.Calculate the distance between the sun and the earth if velocity of light is 3*10power8 m/s.

Answer:

Speed of light = 3×10*8

Time=8.5min=8min + 30seconds

1min=60seconds

Time=8 × 60 + 30

=510 seconds

Distance = speed × time

= 3 × 510 ×10*8

=153×10*9 m
