angles that are supplementary to each other sum up to 180 degrees.

let the unknown angle be 'x'.

24 degrees less than 5 times 'x' is 5x-24...................(1)

180= (5x-24)+x

5x+x=180+24

6x=204

x=34

from (1)..............5*34-24=170-24= 146

therefore the angles are 34 and 146 degrees respectively.
