Option -(b)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

The supplement of the angle is 1/5 of it.

To find :-

Find the angle ?

Solution :-

Let the angle be X°

then it's supplement = (180-X)°

According to the given problem

The supplement of the angle = 1/5 of the angle

=> (180-X)° = (1/5)×X°

=> (180-X)° = (1×X°)/5

=> (180-X)° = X°/5

=> 5× (180-X)° = X°

=> 900°-5X° = X°

=> 900° = X°+5X°

=> 900° = 6X°

=> 6X° = 900°

=> X° = 900°/6

=> X° = 150°

Therefore,X° = 150°

Answer:-

The required angle is 150°

Check:-

The angle = 150°

The supplement of 150° = 180°-150° = 30°

1/5th of 150° = 150°/5 = 30°

The supplement of 150° = 1/5th of 150°

Verified the given relations in the given problem.

Used formulae:-

Supplementary angles:-

The sum of two angles is equal to 180° then they are called Supplementary angles.

The supplementary angle of X° = (180-X)°
