Data:

Surface area of sphere = S = 616 cm²

Radius of sphere = r = ?

Solution:

We know that,

Surface area of the sphere = S = 4 π r²

Substituting the values, we get:

616 = 4 (22/7) r²

616 = (12.57) r²

r² = 616 / 12.57

r² = 49

r = √49

r = 7 cm

which shows that the radius of the sphere is 7 cm.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Surface Area of Sphere = 616 m²
Radius = ?
 \rm Surface \: Area \: of \: Sphere = 4\pi {r}^{2} \\ \rm 616 \: m {}^{2} = 4 \times \frac{22}{7} \times {r}^{2} \\ \rm\frac{616 \times 7}{22 \times 4} = {r}^{2} \\ \rm 7 \times \cancel7 = r {}^{ \cancel2} \\ \rm r = 7 \: m
