The Surface area of Cube is 384cm^2.

Surface area = 6×a^2

384=6×a^2

384/6=a^2

64=a^2

√64=a

a=8

Given:-

  • Surface area of cube = 384 cm²

To Find: Edge of the cube.

We know,

Surface area of cube = 6a²

where,

  • a = Side/Edge of a cube.

Let the edge be = (a) c.m.

According to the Question:-

6a² = 384

→ a² = 384/6

→ a² = 64

→ a = √64

a = 8 c.m. ...(Ans.)

Measurement of the edge of the cube is 8 centimetres.

Verification:-

LHS:-

6a²

= 6(8 c.m.)²

= 6(64 c.m.²)

= 384 c.m.²

RHS:-

384 c.m.²

LHS = RHS.
