Volume of cube is 512 cubic centimeter

Given that

total surface area of cube is 384 square centimeter

To find:

volume of cube

The surface area of a cube is given as:

T.S.A = 6a^2

where a is the length of the side of each edge of the cube.

384 = 6a^2

\begin{gathered}a^2 = \frac{384}{6} = 64 \\ a = \pm8 \end{gathered}a2=6

384 =64 \\a=±8

Ignoring negative value, we get

a = 8 cm

The volume of cube is given as:

v = a^3

Substituting a = 8 cm in above formula,

\begin{gathered}v = 8^3\\v = 8 \times 8 \times 8 = 512\end{gathered}

Thus volume of cube is 512 cm3.
