Given :–

  • Surface area of a Cuboid = 1300cm
  • Length of a cuboid = 15cm
  • Height of a cuboid = 20cm

To Find :–

  • Breadth of a cuboid.

Solution :–

We know that,

Surface area of a cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)

⟹ 1300 = 2(lb + bh + hl)

  • l = 15cm
  • h = 20cm
  • b = ?

Put the given values of l and h in the formula of surface area of a cuboid.

⟹ 1300 = 2[(15 × b) + (b × 20) + (20 × 15)]

⟹ 1300 = 2(15b + 20b + 300)

 \dfrac{\cancel{1300}}{\cancel2} = 35b + 300

⟹ 650 = 35b + 300

⟹ 650 – 300 = 35b

⟹ 350 = 35b

 \dfrac{\cancel{350}}{\cancel{35}} = b

⟹ 10 = b

Hence,

Breadth of a cuboid is 10cm.
